Introduction
HSBC HappyFamily is a bundled product consisting of EmpoweredMum and an eligible policy insuring the Father, Mother or Child’s Sibling.

HSBC EmpoweredMum is a single premium maternity plan that provides coverage for both the expectant mother and newborn child. The plan covers the expectant mother for death, pregnancy complications, hospital care and early delivery by caesarean section. The plan also covers the newborn child for death, congenital illness, hospital care and developmental delay. The policy can be purchased as early as 13 weeks of pregnancy.

Benefits For the Mother

  • Death benefit: 100% of sum assured

  • *Pregnancy Complications Benefit: Receive 100% of Sum Assured if you are diagnosed with any of the 15 covered pregnancy complications

  • *Hospital Care Benefit: Receive 2% of Sum Assured per day of hospitalisation due to any of the 10 covered hospitalisation events, for up to 30 days

  • *Hospital Care Benefit: Receive 2% of Sum Assured per day of hospitalisation due to any of the 10 covered hospitalisation events, for up to 30 days

Benefits For the Child

  • Death benefit: 100% of sum assured
  • *Congenital Illnesses Benefit for Child: Receive 100% of Sum Assured if newborn Child is diagnosed with any of the 26 covered congenital illnesses.
  • *Hospital Care Benefit: Receive 2% of Sum Assured per day of hospitalisation due to any of the 17 covered hospitalisation events, for up to 30 days.

  • Developmental Delay Benefit: Receive 15% of Sum Assured if Child is diagnosed with developmental delay in gross motor or speech development

  • Option to take up a complimentary AXA Shield plan B for child with no underwriting

1. Pregancy due to IVF option is accepted

 

2. Within 60 days from the Date of Birth of the Child, the parent has the option to purchase HSBC Flexi Protector or HSBC Life Treasure ll, without any medical underwriting on the child.

 

3. Complimentary HSBC Shield Plan B: Within 60 days from the Date of Birth of the Child, the newborn child will be granted an HSBC shield plan B without underwriting, and will enjoy a free first year premium.
